We believe it is important to create an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We strongly encourage you to report relevant concerns directly to your supervisor, manager, or HR representative whenever you believe possible illegal, unethical, or improper conduct has occurred.

To maintain the confidence and trust of our customers and employees, we provide employees a safe and productive workplace under our employee Code of Conduct. We encourage all employees, customers, or any other people who interact with SecureScan to report suspected misconduct or raise compliance concerns.

SecureScan provides this anonymous and confidential method for us to hear your suggestions, concerns, or reports of misconduct All reports to Ethics & Compliance are treated as confidentially as possible, and if you choose, you may report your concern anonymously to the extent allowed by law.

Concerns should be raised in good faith, which means you have made a genuine attempt to provide honest and accurate information, even if you are later proven to have been mistaken.

You do not need to identify yourself and your communication will be kept confidential. Retaliation against associates who raise concerns or questions about misconduct will not be tolerated.

    Issue Descriptions/ Classifications
    Conflict of Interest A conflict of interest is defined as a situation in which a person, such as a public official, an employee, or a professional, has a private or personal interest sufficient to appear to influence the objective exercise of his or her official duties. (Examples include: inappropriate vendor relations, bribery, misuse of confidential information, inappropriate customer relations)
    Discrimination or Harassment Uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct directed at an employee because of his or her sex, religion, ethnicity, or beliefs. (Examples include: bias in hiring, bias in assignments, wrongful termination, bias in promotions, bias in educational decisions, unfair compensation, inappropriate language)
    HIPPA Compliance Failure to comply with any aspect of HIPAA standards and provisions detailed in detailed in 45 CFR Parts 160, 162, and 164. See Details
    Falsification of Contracts, Reports or Records Falsification of records consists of altering, fabricating, falsifying, or forging all or any part of a document, contract or record for the purpose of gaining an advantage, or misrepresenting the value of the document, contract or record.
    Misconduct or Inappropriate Behavior Intentional wrongdoing; specifically: deliberate violation of a law or standard.
    Substance Abuse Substance abuse is defined as the misuse of both legal and illegal drugs including alcohol. (Examples include: cocaine, narcotics, marijuana, stimulants)
    Violation of Policy Willful or innocent actions that are in direct violation of company policy, procedures, code of conduct, and/or implied contractual responsibilities. (Examples include: non- disclosure agreements, hiring standards, safety, Internet usage, corporate guidelines)
    Accounting and Auditing The unethical systematic recording and analysis of the business and financial transactions associated with generally accepted accounting practices. (Examples include: misstatement of revenues, misstatement of expenses, misstatement of assets, misapplications of GAAP principles, wrongful transactions.)
